One of the greatest honors as a delaware based photographer is when wedding clients return for family photos. Do I love photographing vacationing families on the Delaware Beacher? Yes! But watching my couple's love stories continue to grow—and being trusted to document it again—is something I never take for granted. Whilel I am currently planning to see one of my marriage proposals clients from all the years ago, recently, I had the joy of photographing a 2020 wedding couple, who now have two beautiful children under the age of three. Sand was eaten. Castles were built. Memories were made and most importantly fun was had!

Did it feel a little wild to the parents? YES! Always yes. Here is the thing, I have NEVER not one time had a session on the beach that didn't go well. If your kid doesn't puke or poop on me - its a WIN! I can handle a three year old who has their own ideas of what they should do on the beach. They will get to use my camera! These parents rewarded them with their own sand toys to play with at the end of the session. Little one's who want to explore, have only one parent hold them, or want to try walking in the sand make for great photos. Let your kids be kids!

By the end of the session, the kids were still asking to stay longer. That’s always my favorite. I will often even offer the dad the opportunity to come back tomorrow for the same thing all over again. The dad's usually laugh. Your little ones should think photo sessions are playtime. We wrapped up with a few final hugs and giggles, and I knew these images would become treasured memories.
